What is Allied Health?
Allied health professionals are colleagues of medical and nursing practitioners, who work to support mutual patient health outcomes.
At Mullumbimby Comprehensive Health Centre, we have university qualified allied health practitioners with specialised expertise in preventing, diagnosing and treating a range of conditions and illnesses. Our allied health practitioners work within a multidisciplinary health team to provide specialised support for different patient needs.
Our Allied health team are here to enhance and maintain the function of their patients (clients) and they can play a vital role in optimising your day-to-day quality of life, your degree of independence, and risk of further problems.
When would I need to see an Allied Health practitioner?
If you have health concerns that need ongoing or specific treatment you may be recommended to see an allied health practitioner for support, however, you don’t always need a referral to see one of our allied health team.
