Medical acupuncture with Dr Tom Rolley

It’s clear that the local community we support here at Mullumbimby Comprehensive Health Centre values health and wellbeing – as many of our patients are already looking after themselves really well.

However, subtle blockages in our body can still prevent us from having a complete experience of health. These blockages are not easily detected with pathology and radiology screening until they are at a more progressed level of the disease process. This is where meridian based therapies, such as medical acupuncture and shiatsu can help.

These therapies involve releasing stuck or blocked energies within the body through palpation, stretching and needling. Meridians contain millions of collagen triple helices holding aligned water molecules and when events happen to us in life, whether emotional or physical, the water in the collagen shifts from a flowing liquid into a crystal state. It does this to lock the energy within the tissue and prevent it from going on to damage body organs.

The meridian techniques used in medical acupuncture are designed to release this crystallisation of the water molecules in the tissues and clear stuck energy from the body. The body is then able to function at a more optimum level and a better quality of life can be achieved.

If you’d like to experience it for yourself, book in a medical acupuncture appointment with Dr Thomas Rolley. Sessions involve 15 minutes of shiatsu and 15-30 minutes of needles depending on desired effect.

Sessions cost $79. Medicare rebates available.
