The centre offers the onsite pathology services of QML Pathology (Queensland Medical Laboratory).

QML Pathology is one of Queensland and northern New South Wales leaders in medical diagnostic testing, providing a professional service to patients and the medical community. Remaining at the forefront of laboratory testing technology and techniques, QML Pathology constantly strives to innovate and improve accuracy and efficiency within pathology practice and meet the needs of the ever-evolving medical community.

Onsite pathology services by QML Pathology provides easy access to pathology following your consultation and a shorter wait for results.

QML pathology opening hours

  • Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4pm
  • Saturday Closed

Location in the building

QML pathology is located at the side entrance of our building, which is down the right hand side of the building if you are looking at the building from the front street (not at our new main entrance). The QML pathology entry door is the 2nd doorway closest to the back carpark.

If you need a doctor urgently outside of our opening hours please call Byron District Hospital on 6639 9400.

For emergencies call 000 for an ambulance.

Urgent Care Clinic

On the day appointments are available by calling the surgery from 8am onwards until slots are filled. We recommend calling early to secure an appointment.
